Welcome to our story! Most of you already know us, but just in case - we're Pam and Silas, a young couple who have just moved 800 miles away from everything that we know to Myrtle Beach, SC. We started this blog back when we lived in Rochester, NY, and used it to chronicle our adventures. Needless to say, they've certainly gotten more interesting.
I wouldn't say that we're typical in any way. Both of us are savvy "computer people", with Silas working in the computer security field, and me working as an internet marketing, attempting to bend Google (and other search engines) to do what I want. We moved down here to Myrtle beach in May 2011, after a long and interesting discussion. Silas got offered a position with an amazing company called SecureWorks, and URMC (the medical center I work for) allowed me to work remotely, which was pretty amazing. Now, we're settling in to this new place that we call home.
As I mentioned before, we're not exactly typical. At 24 and 23, we're young, but looking toward the future. We love to DIY projects around our home to really improve on what we have. On a Friday night, you're more likely to find us at Lowes picking up wood for a project of ours, than you are to see us out and about the town.
Throughout the blog, I hope you'll come to love our eccentricities. Silas is pretty amazing at what he does, so you may find posts here and there about protecting yourself and your computer (I just do what he says). I love aquariums and zoos, so you're sure to find plenty of awesome posts about those.
